As Chefs you will assist the senior kitchen staff with tasks related to meal preparation, maintenance, logistics, and safety and sanitation.Responsibilities: • Work closely with the senior kitchen staff to prepare high-quality dishes according to established recipes and standards. • Follow proper food handling and safety guidelines to ensure the freshness and quality of ingredients. • Execute cooking tasks as assigned, ensuring that each dish meets our presentation and taste standards. • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure timely and efficient preparation and service. • Rotate through various kitchen stations, including prep, grill, sauté, and others, to gain a well-rounded understanding of kitchen operations. • Keep workstations clean and organized, maintaining a high level of cleanliness and hygiene. • Take advantage of learning opportunities to enhance culinary skills and expand knowledge of different cuisines. • Actively participate in training sessions and workshops to stay updated on industry trends and techniques. • Follow recipes, portion control, and presentation specifications as directed by the head chef.\ • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the kitchen. Requirements: • Relevant culinary qualification preferred. • Proven experience as a Commis Chef or kitchen assistant. • Knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures. • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes accurately. • Excellent time management skills and ability to work in a high-pressure environment. • Team player with effective communication skills. • Willingness to learn and adapt to new techniques and cuisines.
