Role OverviewAs a Systems & Networks Engineer, you will play a key technical role in designing, deploying, and supporting high-profile infrastructure projects, including cloud technologies, security, and networking. This position requires a proactive approach to technology implementation, maintenance, and optimisation, ensuring clients receive top-tier IT solutions. Key ResponsibilitiesTechnology Implementation: Design and implement IT projects aligned with our Client’s strategic cloud and security managed services.Preventive Maintenance: Conduct proactive system upkeep and service enhancements across clients' IT environments, including networking, security, and cloud infrastructure.Customer Communication: Maintain clear and consistent communication with clients, providing updates on ongoing incidents and planned system changes.Client Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong customer relationships to foster trust, satisfaction, and repeat business.Documentation & Advisory: Collaborate with colleagues to keep client documentation updated and provide expert recommendations for system improvements.Commercial Collaboration: Support commercial initiatives and contribute to business growth in coordination with the Client’s sales team.Technology Optimisation: Identify and implement technology solutions to enhance efficiency, reliability, and security.Research & Innovation: Participate in the exploration and implementation of emerging technologies that align with our Client’s strategic goals.Network Infrastructure: Design, implement, and maintain networking components, including firewalls, routers, switches, and VPNs.Technologies: Fortinet, CiscoCloud Infrastructure: Manage and oversee cloud-based infrastructure and services on Microsoft Azure. Technologies: Microsoft AzureHybrid Infrastructure: Administer hybrid IT environments integrating on-premises infrastructure, cloud solutions, and third-party hosting.Technologies: Microsoft Windows ServerSecurity Infrastructure: Implement and manage security frameworks, including firewalls, SIEM solutions, and endpoint protection.Technologies: Fortinet, Microsoft IntuneIdentity & Access Management (IAM) Security: Configure and maintain IAM systems to ensure secure access control and regulatory compliance.Technologies: Microsoft Enterprise Mobility and Security, Microsoft Defender XDR Qualifications, Skills, and Attributes

Education: A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.

Certifications: Industry certifications such as Azure Administration or Microsoft Security Administration are preferred.Experience: At least 2 years of relevant IT experience.Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of IT services, diagnostic skills, and familiarity with Azure and M365 portals.Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts clearly.Customer Focus: A customer-focused mindset with strong client relations skills.Work Ethic: Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
