We are looking for a Commis Chef to join our team. Remarks: Full time on a contract basis.Ensure that procedures in personal and food hygiene are carried out and maintained. Check deliveries and return to suppliers, any which are not up to the Companies Standards. Assist the Chef in the planning and preparation of menus, recipes, cooking and preparation instructions for the kitchen departments. Liaise with all the Management Team to ensure that all productions run smoothly, and deadlines are met. Ensure that all hygiene regulations (including HACCP) are strictly observed by all employees and by the procedures adapted in the execution of the production. Coordinate with chef and/or stores regarding market list, availability of products, storage expiry dates and equipment.ProfilesCompetencies

Cook or heat up meat, fish, vegetables, ...
Prepare dishes for service (presentation, composition, finish...)
Decorate products after cooling (chocolate pieces, sesame seeds, sugar, covering with sauce...)
Wash and clean fruit and vegetables
Assemble and decorate products (biscuit layers, butter cream, sauces, glancing...)
Maintain and clean work station and kitchen utensils
Dose and mix ingredients
Select/dose ingredients (flour, yeast, additives...) to prepare bread dough/pastry dough. Mix/knead/roll out dough
Prepare work surface and kitchen utensils. Switch on appliances (ovens, hot-plates...)
Prepare meat and fish (clean, cut, bind up, wrap...)
