Are you a hands-on IT leader passionate about ensuring seamless IT operations and driving technical excellence? We’re looking for a proactive and technically skilled IT Operations Manager to join our dynamic IT team. This role is key to maintaining the reliability, performance, and security of our IT infrastructure while leading a talented team of IT professionals.Reporting to the Technical Head for Infrastructure, you will play a critical role in shaping IT operations, driving best practices, and supporting business growth through technology.In this role you will:
  • Lead & Manage – Oversee IT operations, ensuring systems run smoothly, securely, and efficiently.
  • Mentor & Develop – Guide a team of IT professionals, fostering growth, collaboration, and technical excellence.
  • Technical Excellence – Manage networking (Cisco), Linux servers (RedHat, Ubuntu), and Microsoft environments (Windows Server, Active Directory, Exchange, Azure).
  • Proactive System Management – Implement best practices for system monitoring, troubleshooting, and issue resolution.
  • Drive IT Best Practices – Develop and enforce IT policies, procedures, and standards to optimise operations.
  • Collaboration & Communication – Work closely with cross-functional teams to align IT strategies with business needs.
  • Incident & Problem Management – Ensure swift issue resolution and minimal downtime.
  • Infrastructure Growth – Oversee IT infrastructure expansion, upgrades, and maintenance.
What You Bring:
  • Experience & Leadership – 5+ years in IT operations, including at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Technical Expertise – Strong knowledge of networking (Cisco), Linux (RedHat, Ubuntu), and Microsoft platforms (Windows Server, Active Directory, Exchange, Azure).
  • Cloud & Virtualization Skills – Experience with VMware and cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Problem-Solving Mindset – A proactive approach to diagnosing and resolving IT challenges.
  • Communication & People Skills – Ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Conflict Management & Collaboration – A team player who can navigate challenges and drive results.
