- Develop and implement training and development programmes that align with the MGA's strategic goals, ensuring employees receive opportunities for professional growth and upskilling.
- Assess training needs across departments and coordinate learning initiatives, workshops, and external training sessions to address identified skill gaps.
- Foster a culture of engagement by designing and executing initiatives that enhance employee experience and strengthen workplace morale.
- Plan and coordinate internal events, including team-building activities, employee recognition initiatives, social gatherings and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives to promote a positive, collaborative and socially responsible work environment.
- Support internal communication efforts related to HR initiatives, ensuring employees are informed and engaged with ongoing development and cultural activities.
- Actively contribute to shaping HR strategies by introducing innovative ideas that drive workforce engagement, inclusion, and a strong organisational culture.
- Act as a point of contact for employees, gathering feedback and addressing concerns to enhance job satisfaction and retention.
- Ensure HR policies and initiatives are aligned with industry best practices and regulatory requirements while maintaining MGA's core values.
- Monitor key engagement and development metrics, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Contribute to the broader responsibilities of the HR team, including recruitment processes, employer branding initiatives, policy development, and procedural updates whilst also assisting with payroll-related duties as required.
- Attend relevant training programmes and conferences to stay updated on trends and best practices in HR, training, and workforce engagement.
- Execute any other tasks that may be delegated from time to time.
- Degree Level of Education in Human Resources, Management or a related field (MQF level 6 or equivalent).
- Diploma level of education (MQF level 5 or equivalent) will be considered if accompanied with relevant experience.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in a Human Resources position, with a focus on training, engagement, or internal culture development preferred.
- Strong understanding of learning and development methodologies, employee engagement strategies, and event planning.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage different audiences effectively.
- Solutions-oriented mindset with the ability to proactively address challenges.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to work on own initiative and with minimal supervision.
- Passion for fostering a positive workplace culture and enhancing employee experience.
- Knowledge or experience in CSR initiatives and HR reporting is an asset.
- Familiarity with payroll processes.
- Data analysis and HR analytics skills to assess workforce trends and make informed recommendations.
- High level of discretion and professionalism when handling employee matters.
