AIMS International Malta is currently assisting one of our clients with recruiting a Finance Manager to lead their Finance Department, ensuring financial integrity, compliance, and efficiency.The Finance Manager will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities, including budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and compliance. This role requires strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of financial regulations, and the ability to provide strategic guidance to senior management.Our client is an independent global supplier of transport and logistics solutions, specialized in air freight, road transport, sea freight, domestic distribution and logistics.Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage the Finance Department, ensuring efficient financial operations and reporting.
  • Develop and oversee financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to maintain compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare and present financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Manage budgeting and forecasting processes, providing insights and recommendations for financial planning and decision-making.
  • Oversee tax planning, audits, and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Implement and monitor financial risk management strategies to safeguard company assets.
  • Optimise financial performance by identifying cost-saving opportunities and efficiency improvements.
  • Collaborate with department heads to support business objectives and ensure financial alignment.
  • Supervise and mentor finance team members, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred) or ACCA.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial management, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of financial regulations, reporting standards, and compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency in financial software.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.
  • Strong leadership and communication abilities to interact effectively with stakeholders.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
