- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety within kitchen and back-of-house areas
- Assisting in food preparation, cooking, and plating according to established recipes and standards
- Supervising and coordinating kitchen sections or stewarding teams, where applicable
- Ensuring correct storage, labelling, and rotation of food items in line with HACCP standards
- Supporting senior kitchen leadership in daily operations, service execution, and team supervision
- Managing workload efficiently during busy service periods
- Ensuring kitchen equipment, tools, and workstations are properly maintained
- Contributing to menu execution, consistency, and quality control (for senior roles)
- Training and mentoring junior team members, where applicable
- Working closely with front-of-house and other departments to ensure smooth service delivery
- Previous experience in a professional kitchen or stewarding environment (level dependent on role)
- A genuine passion for food, cleanliness, and hospitality service
- A strong understanding of kitchen hygiene, food safety, and operational discipline
- The ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
- Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays
- A good working knowledge of English
- Food Handling Certificate (as per Maltese regulations)
- HACCP training or certification
- Culinary qualifications or professional kitchen training
- Experience working within HACCP-compliant kitchens
- Leadership or supervisory training (for senior positions)
