Are you a qualified or semi-qualified accounting professional with strong leadership skills? One of our top clients a long-standing market leader in Malta specializing in metal and glass façade cladding systems, working closely with architects and structural engineers is seeking an Accounts Team Lead to supervise a team of accounting clerks in a key finance role.What's expected of you?

Lead, guide, and oversee a team of junior accounting clerks
Review and validate daily transaction postings to ensure accuracy and compliance
Ensure proper classification and recording of invoices, payments, receipts, journals, and other financial entries
Carry out regular checks and reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records
Provide training, support, and ongoing guidance to enhance team efficiency and accuracy
Work closely with the Finance Manager on process improvements and reporting needs
Support month-end closing activities and assist with additional accounting tasks as required

What are you expected to bring?

Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, AAT, or equivalent)
Solid understanding of accounting principles and double-entry bookkeeping
Previous experience reviewing or supervising junior accounting staff is advantageous
Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational abilities
Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team
Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
