  • Define and drive the company’s financial strategy to support growth, scalability, and sustainable long-term value creation;
  • Play a central role in shaping the next phase of the business, translating strategic objectives into clear investment priorities and execution plans;
  • Work in close partnership with the CEO and Board to support strategic initiatives, expansion plans, and key decision-making;
  • Lead financial planning, forecasting, and performance management with a forward-looking and commercially driven approach;
  • Take a hands-on role in assessing, structuring, and executing investment opportunities;
  • Direct capital allocation across projects, subsidiaries, and growth initiatives to maximise returns and strategic impact;
  • Prepare and evaluate detailed business cases and financial models for acquisitions, new ventures, and major investments;
  • Oversee all finance functions across the company or group, including accounting, reporting, treasury, taxation, and compliance;
  • Ensure strong internal controls, audit readiness, and compliance with relevant international standards;
  • Manage cash flow, working capital, and funding requirements linked to ongoing operations and projects;
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with banks and financial institutions to support financing needs and future growth;
  • Partner closely with operational and commercial teams, providing timely financial insight to support decision-making;
  • Support project costing, margin management, and profitability analysis across the business;
  • Provide direct financial leadership during tenders, bids, and major commercial negotiations;
  • Design and implement scalable financial structures, governance models, and policies aligned with business growth;
  • Lead the digital evolution of the finance function, including ERP systems, business intelligence tools, and process automation;
  • Ensure financial systems and processes continue to evolve in line with organisational needs;
  • Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing finance teams;
  • Foster a culture of accountability, transparency, performance, and strong commercial awareness across the finance function.
Experience
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a senior finance leadership role within the construction or M&E sector, such as CFO or Head of Finance;
  • Hold a recognised professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent);
  • Proven experience supporting business growth and scaling organisations through expansion phases;
  • Strong background in project finance, cash flow and liquidity management, capital allocation, and risk management;
  • Experience operating within multi-entity and multi-country organisational structures;
  • Ability to convert financial analysis and insight into strategic, operational, and investment decisions;
  • Proven capability to align financial strategy with long-term growth, scalability, and expansion objectives;
  • Previous involvement in mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructuring, or business integration initiatives is considered an advantage.
Personal Skills
  • Ability to clearly articulate complex financial, commercial, and investment matters to Board members, senior executives, and operational leaders;
  • Strong negotiation, influencing, and stakeholder management capabilities, including effective engagement with banks, investors, and external partners;
  • Deep understanding of business models, profitability drivers, capital allocation, cash flow dynamics, and value creation;
  • Forward-thinking approach that supports informed investment decisions, structural development, and sustainable value creation;
  • Hands-on leadership style with credibility at Board and senior management level;
  • Demonstrated ability to build, lead, and develop high-performing finance teams, promoting accountability, transparency, and commercial awareness;
  • Strong analytical skills to address complex financial and operational challenges and implement practical, value-driven solutions;
  • Resilient and adaptable, able to operate effectively in fast-paced, evolving, and multi-entity environments.
