Manage client portfolio, deliver audits, review plans/reports, meet budgets, oversee billing/collections, maintain standards, build client relationships, mentor staff, and contribute to business development and professional engagement.Description of duties Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to: Provide management over a portfolio of clients and deliver high-quality audit and assurance service, including preparing and reviewing audit plans and work and signing off audit reports; Achieve team and individual budgets and business plan/ performance objectives. Manage project financials, including budgets, timely billing and collection and variance recognition. Maintain the highest technical and professional standards. Think strategically about client needs by understanding their business and key risks. Providing additional help and guidance to clients on a consultancy basis. Participate in the development of ways to meet client needs and contribute to the proposed delivery. Identifying ways to maximize the relationship with clients and deliver added value. Monitor and control auditing staff, including assisting auditing staff in their professional development. Take a leadership role in professional, business or community organizations. Work closely and cooperate on a daily basis with the rest of the audit and accounting team. Mandatory Competences Strong written and verbal English Strong written and verbal Maltese In possession of an Auditor's warrant An ACCA, ACA or a recognised Accounting University Degree Knowledge of GAPSME, IFRS and International Auditing Standards A minimum of 4+ years of audit experience managing a team Experience in external audit planning, risk and control identification and performing, reviewing and directing external audit testing Experience identifying and effectively reporting any issues and recommendations for improvement to clients.   • Validate internally generated schedules (production cost, ...). Draw up summary tables for results analysis
  • Check regularity and reliability of transactions. Check financial position of the organisation
  • Handle files, follow-up disputes of private persons or companies (investigating the balance, exemption procedure...)
  • Plan or execute audits of accounts in companies. Provide expertise on tax regulations
  • Check and record (entry of customer payments, drafting invoices, reminders...) company income
  • Analyse reasons for losses and evolutions in financial resources and clients' accounts and present corrective measures
  • Administer clients' portfolio; present closed accounts and provide management advice
  • Propose and introduce guidelines for recovery plans, reorganisation plans, restructuring plans... and follow-up
  • Execute audits (find accounting documents, check applied rules of functioning, meet concerned employees...)
  • Follow-up internal audits. Check implementation of operational and judicial procedures
  • Follow-up organisations having difficulties; advise according to indicators analysis (budget plans, monthly margins...)
  • Direct external audit bodies (auditor, financial controller...) and establish internal accounting audit structure
