- Play a pivotal role in defining and steering the Academy’s long-term vision, ensuring alignment with MFSA’s regulatory priorities and capacity-building objectives.
- Provide strategic foresight on emerging skillsets required by supervisors in an evolving global financial landscape, ensuring the FSA is positioned to proactively address future challenges.
- Contribute to MFSA’s supervisory talent strategy, influencing how the MFSA attracts, develops, and retains future-facing supervisory skills and expertise.
- Act as a senior advisor to leadership on regulatory learning, capacity gaps, and workforce readiness, ensuring talent development is integrated into organisational strategy.
- Guide the continuous evolution of training programmes that address cross-border regulatory trends, technological innovation (e.g. FinTech, ESG, AI), and supervisory best practices.
- Oversee the evaluation of FSA’s learning initiatives, ensuring measurable outcomes that enhance supervisory performance and contribute to MFSA’s institutional effectiveness.
- Represent the Academy in high-level local and international forums, fostering strategic relationships with global training institutions, regulatory bodies, and academic partners.
- Cultivate and maintain collaborative relationships with external stakeholders including universities, central banks, international organisations, training consortia, and industry bodies to support the Academy’s mission.
- Position the Academy as a recognised hub for supervisory knowledge exchange by promoting university programmes, MFSA initiatives (including the JFSA), association memberships, and other collaborative initiatives.
- Contribute to the development of internal strategic papers, external publications, and learning policies that reinforce MFSA’s reputation as a knowledge leader in supervision and regulatory development.
- Qualification at MQF Level 6 or equivalent qualification in: Human Resources, Training, Business Administration, Management or in a relevant field. Professional certifications in the field are advantageous.
- A minimum of 6 years prior Learning & Development experience in a senior level, preferably in a supervisory authority, regulatory body, international organisation, or related financial services institution.
- If you do not have the necessary academic qualifications and minimum years’ experience but you have at least ten (10) years of relevant senior experience, we would still be interested in speaking with you.
- Strong understanding of global financial regulatory frameworks, capacity-building trends, and the future of supervision.
- Demonstrated success in designing and implementing impactful L&D strategies in complex, knowledge-intensive environments.
- Proven experience in representing an organisation at high-level international engagements.
- Proven ability to influence, collaborate across cultures, and lead strategic initiatives that span organisational and international boundaries.
