Kitchen Concepts Ltd. is currently seeking to employ a Head Chef on a full-time basis.Part of the Alf Mizzi & Sons Group, Kitchen Concepts operates a portfolio of renowned dining establishments across Malta, known for delivering high-quality food and exceptional service. We are looking for an experienced and passionate culinary professional to take full responsibility for the kitchen operations of one of its outlets. Key Responsibilities: Oversee the daily operations of the kitchen Plan, create, and update menus in line with the brand’s identity Ensure consistent food quality and presentation Monitor and control food costs, inventory, and waste Uphold food safety and hygiene standards at all times Lead, train, and motivate the kitchen brigade Maintain a positive and professional working environment The ideal candidate must: Have at least two years’ experience in a senior kitchen role within a reputable establishment Be passionate about food and committed to high standards Be a strong leader, capable of motivating and managing a team Communicate effectively in English Be reliable, flexible, and possess a professional attitude Ideally hold a culinary qualification from a recognized institution Be in possession of a valid work permit to work in Malta and a clean police conduct We offer a competitive salary package, excellent working conditions, and the opportunity to grow within a well-established and reputable company.ProfilesCompetencies
  • Check compliance with work procedures and rules for hygiene and food safety
  • Check freshness and preparation of foodstuffs. Take samples for hygiene service
  • Coordinate team activities
  • Dose and mix ingredients
  • Draw up menus. Create or adapt recipes (composition, new flavours...)
  • Draw up menus. Set prices for dishes
  • Draw up plan of the kitchen staff required according to anticipated business and progress of preparations
  • Draw up recipes (ingredients, quantity, price...)
  • Follow-up kitchen's budget (revenue, ratio, margin...)
  • Hire staff and teach them organisation guidelines
  • Maintain and clean work station and kitchen utensils
