- Define and drive the strategic UI direction of the product, aligning engineering initiatives with business goals to elevate user experience, reliability, and accessibility.
- Lead and oversee multiple engineering teams, ensuring successful project execution and achievement of key objectives.
- Ensure transparent communication of priorities and context among the team, product management and stakeholders.
- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the engineering organization.
- Provide mentorship and career development support to engineers, promoting growth and technical excellence.
- Manage recruitment, onboarding, and retention strategies to build and sustain high-performing teams, addressing skill gaps proactively.
- Establish and uphold engineering best practices, ensuring adherence to high standards in architecture, coding, and security.
- Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, ensuring efficient resource allocation and on-time delivery.
- Take ownership of project risks and issues, identifying and mitigating potential obstacles to success.
- Act as a key liaison between engineering and other departments, facilitating effective communication and resolving cross-functional challenges.
- Represent the engineering team in meetings and presentations, clearly conveying technical concepts to stakeholders.
- Monitor and evaluate team performance, including personalized 1-on-1 meetings, provide constructive feedback.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures, and industry standards, including safety regulations relevant to engineering projects.
- Stay current with emerging technologies, trends, and best practices, driving continuous innovation across engineering processes.
- You have successfully led diverse engineering teams, including onboarding and performance management
- Excellent leader with strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to build and lead high-performing teams
- Interested in addressing ambiguous business problems and figuring out the right short-term and long-terms plans to solve them
- You have a track record of delivering high-quality software products on schedule and collaborating closely with product partners.
- Strong technician, particularly with Swift UI, Qt and C/C++, who is interested in remaining a hands-on leader
- Deep experience in development for macOS
- Previously worked with Senior leadership at a large company
- Have experience working in an experimentation led environment.
