- Secure Employment: Actively engages with companies to encourage them to meet their disability quota, matching a person's skills and aptitudes to available job openings.
- Build Relationships: Meets face-to-face and communicates with corporate leaders to explore employment opportunities, asserting the employer's responsibility toward vulnerable groups.
- Provide Guidance: Guides employers to find solutions to remove barriers to employment.
- Coordinate Internally: Liaises with other internal teams (e.g., Training & Development, Supported Employment) to align training programs with job market needs and to identify potential matches between candidates and job placements.
- Achieve Targets: Works to meet or exceed personal and unit-based performance targets.
- Propose Initiatives: Suggests new services, activities, or programs to help integrate clients into the labor market.
- Report & Ensure Compliance: Creates reports for management and ensures companies comply with legislation concerning the Register of Persons with Disability.
- Knowledge of the Employment and Training Services Act
- Knowledge of the UN Convention for Persons with Disability
- Knowledge of local and EU legislation in respect of persons with Disability
- Knowledge of effective training and support methodologies for vulnerable persons (including persons with disability)
- Pertinent first degree at NQF level 6, or appropriate, recognized, comparable qualification, plus two (2) years relevant work experience
- Valid Driving License
