Job DescriptionOur client, a leading financial institution and part of a diversified international group, is currently seeking to recruit a Assistant Branch Manager - Retail Banking Unit, to support the management and performance of one of its retail branches in Malta. With a strong presence across the Maltese Islands and a reputation for delivering highly personalised banking services, the Bank is looking for an experienced and driven professional to contribute to business growth and operational excellence.Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Senior/Branch Manager in the daily running of the branch in a professional and efficient manner.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service in line with the Bank's standards.
  • Proactively plan and execute business development activities to meet and exceed performance targets.
  • Manage a portfolio of personal and business customers while identifying and pursuing opportunities for growth.
  • Support the development and mentoring of branch team members to reach their full potential.
  • Ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements and internal procedures.
  • Liaise regularly with the Senior/Branch Manager to resolve complex issues and coordinate branch activities and staff operations.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
  • Ideally has a minimum of 2 years' experience as a commercial supervisor, or at least 5 years in banking across multiple branches.
  • Holds a degree in Banking and Finance, Business Management, Economics, or a related field.
  • Possesses sound knowledge of banking operations, accounting, and financial products.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Communicates effectively in both English and Maltese, with strong written and verbal skills.
