- Direct and oversee a broad range of audit engagements from initial planning to final reporting
- Lead and coordinate audit teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and in compliance with professional standards
- Review, validate, and approve audit workpapers, key findings, and final deliverables
- Manage engagement economics, including billing, fee realization, and overall financial performance
- Contribute to business development by identifying opportunities, preparing proposals, and strengthening client relationships
- Coach, mentor, and support team members, promoting professional development and a culture of continuous improvement
- Enhance client satisfaction by anticipating needs and delivering practical, value-driven insights
- Collaborate across offices and teams to deliver seamless, cross-border audit solutions
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; a Master’s degree is an advantage
- Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, or equivalent) holding a Maltese auditor’s warrant/license
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in external audit, ideally gained within a leading or mid-tier firm; prior Director-level or senior managerial experience strongly preferred
- Comprehensive expertise in IFRS, Maltese GAAP (GAPSME), International Standards on Auditing, and applicable regulatory frameworks
- Demonstrated leadership, team management, and project management capabilities, with a strong focus on quality and results
- Exceptional communication skills in both English and Maltese, written and spoken
- Proven ability to cultivate client relationships, drive business development, and negotiate effectively
- Skilled at managing multiple engagements and deadlines in high-pressure environments
