- Lead initiatives to ensure the safety and consistency of raw materials and finished products, including audits for franchise and third-party products.
- Oversee internal and external audits, identifying food safety gaps and working with managers to implement solutions that enhance customer satisfaction.
- Monitor regulatory inspections, ensuring compliance and collaborating with managers to address necessary corrective actions.
- Manage the Product Withdrawal and Recall Program, providing guidance to operations and relevant teams during product recalls or withdrawals.
- Stay up to date with food safety standards, HACCP, and emerging industry trends, applying this knowledge to enhance quality and compliance.
- Foster strong relationships with regulatory agencies and industry organizations, helping the company adapt to new or evolving regulations.
- Serve as a key point of contact for regulatory bodies, ensuring all processes align with local, state, and federal guidelines.
- Collaborate with internal teams across the organization to support and improve quality and food safety initiatives.
- Oversee the QA and Food Safety budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
- Train, develop, and mentor the Food Safety / QA team
- A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to guide and support teams effectively.
- A proactive, innovative, and detail-oriented approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining a structured and process-driven mindset.
- Proficiency in ICT tools and excellent presentation skills.
- Knowledge of Food Safety Standards and HACCP is highly desirable.
