Your responsibilities will extend beyond planning, fieldwork, and reporting to encompass managing client relationships, leading audit teams, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality audit services.Key Responsibilities
- Leadership and Client Relationships: Lead and manage audit teams, ensuring the efficient and effective execution of audit engagements. Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as a trusted advisor.
- Strategic Planning and Execution: Develop comprehensive audit strategies and plans, overseeing their implementation to achieve audit objectives.
- Quality Assurance: Review audit work performed by team members, ensuring adherence to professional standards and firm methodologies.
- Risk Management: Identify and assess audit risks, implementing appropriate controls and procedures to mitigate those risks.
- Business Development: Contribute to the growth of the firm by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.
- Mentorship and Development: Mentor and coach junior staff members, fostering their professional growth and development.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting or a relevant field. ACCA, Masters in Accountancy orequivalent qualification.
- Experience: A minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in audit, with demonstrated success in a managerial role.
- Leadership and Communication: Exceptional leadership and communication skills to effectively manage teams, clients, and stakeholders.
- Technical Expertise: Strong technical knowledge of auditing standards, methodologies, and best practices.
- Business Acumen: A deep understanding of business operations and financial reporting to provide valuable insights to clients.
- Problem Solving: Ability to analyze complex issues, identify root causes, and develop innovative solutions.
- Languages: Candidates to possess excellent English communication skills; proficiency in Maltese will be highly valued.
- Hybrid & Flexi Hours: Once settled after probation a number of days per week can be worked from outside the office. Flexi hours are also available.
- Office hours: Balanced between winter and summer so that in summer the office closes earlier on a daily basis.
