An exciting opportunity has opened for a Junior Life Underwriter to join a growing underwriting function within a well-established insurance environment. This role is ideal for a curious, analytical individual who wants to develop technical insurance expertise while working in a supportive team that values learning and progression.In this position, you’ll gain hands-on exposure to life underwriting processes, supporting the assessment of insurance applications and learning how risk decisions are structured. Working alongside experienced underwriters, you will analyse client information, request additional documentation when required, and help ensure that underwriting decisions are consistent, compliant, and well-documented.What makes this opportunity particularly attractive is the training and development focus. You won’t be expected to know everything from day one; instead, you’ll be guided through underwriting frameworks, medical and financial risk considerations, and decision-making approaches that build strong long-term expertise within insurance.Key Responsibilities

Review basic life insurance applications under supervision

Analyse customer information, including medical, lifestyle, and occupational data
Apply underwriting guidelines to support risk assessment decisions

Your Profile

Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail
Strong communication skills and willingness to learn
Any experience in insurance, administration, or customer service is considered an asset
