- Emergency Fault Diagnosis & Repair: Quickly identify, assess, and resolve faults within the HFC (Hybrid Fibre-Coaxial) network to minimise service disruptions and reduce downtime.
- Network Maintenance: Perform routine and preventive maintenance on fibre optic and coaxial infrastructure to ensure continued service quality and network stability.
- Infrastructure Construction & Restoration: Support the build-out and activation of new HFC infrastructure, including splicing and signal testing. Implement emergency bypasses to restore connectivity after third-party damage.
- Training & Knowledge-Sharing: Participate in technical upskilling and internal training programmes. Share best practices and mentor fellow technicians when required.
- Health, Safety & Environment: Comply with all health, safety, and environmental procedures, including the use of PPE, risk assessments, and safe working standards to protect people, assets, and the environment.
- Experience in the installation, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance of HFC access networks (fibre and coaxial).
- Sound understanding of RF and electrical principles, including signal levels, leakage, voltage, current, and resistance.
- Proficiency in fibre and coax splicing, along with the ability to interpret technical drawings and network schematics.
- Strong diagnostic and fault prioritisation skills with a service-oriented mindset.
- A proactive approach to learning, teamwork, and sharing technical knowledge.
