
Payroll Officer (South)

- Process payroll for all company employees on a scheduled basis within the various companies of the group
- Maintain and update employee payroll records, including employee profiles, rates, benefits, hours worked, overtime, leave taken, and deductions
- Collect, review, and verify timekeeping data from employees and department supervisors to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Monitor and collect timekeeping data for subcontractor employees
- Prepare and submit reports of subcontractor hours to the main contractor for wage calculation
- Handle pay discrepancies and employee payroll inquiries
- Ensure compliance with laws, tax regulations, and contractual agreements
- Assist with audits, year-end reporting, year-end processes and preparaƟon of Government statutory documents and reconciliaƟons
- Collaborate with HR, Finance, and external contractors to ensure accuracy and consistency in records, contract terms and financial reporting
- Minimum 2 years of experience in payroll processing in Malta.
- Proven experience using Shireburn Indigo Payroll software.
- Strong knowledge of local employment regulations, tax deductions, and statutory payments.
- Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
- Good communication skills in English and Maltese.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other payroll-related tools.
