- Support the AML Manager in day-to-day operational and strategic matters
- Contribute to the ongoing development and growth of the AML/CFT Unit
- Assist and, when required, lead initiatives and projects related to the Unit’s enhancement
- Manage the workload and performance of AML Executives/Officers
- Lead and supervise AML/CFT compliance examinations on Gaming Licensees, independently or jointly with the FIAU
- Draft, review, and sign detailed examination reports with clear findings and recommendations
- Present examination findings, supported by evidence, to administrative and/or judicial bodies
- Liaise with local authorities and key stakeholders on AML-related matters
- Conduct interviews with prospective MLRO applicants to assess competence and suitability
- Represent the MGA at relevant meetings, conferences, and events, both locally and internationally
- Carry out any additional duties as may be assigned from time to time
- A Bachelor’s degree (MQF Level 6 or equivalent), preferably in Law, Accounts, IT, or Criminology
- Excellent report writing and presentation skills
- Strong command of the English language, both written and verbal
- At least 2 years of experience in a similar AML role
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a leadership or supervisory position
- Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and strategic mindset
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- A proactive, ownership-driven approach with strong leadership qualities
- Solid knowledge of EU and Maltese AML/CFT laws and regulations
