The Company is seeking to strengthen its Quality team by recruiting a Quality Systems Manager. Reporting to the Head of Quality and Product Development, the selected candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing and managing the Food Safety and Quality systems and strategy across operational processes in accordance with BRC, ISO, HACCP and company/franchisers standards. S/he will also manage and lead the internal audit function and the QMS team both within our internal operations and dispense section in bars and outlets where draft beer is served.The chosen applicant will:
  • Direct all activities related to the verification of the consistent quality and safety of all raw materials and products, such as franchise and / or 3rd party product audit.
  • Oversee internal and external audits for food safety deficiencies and provide immediate feedback to managers as to areas of weakness and solutions to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Review regulatory inspection reports and follows up with relevant managers on necessary steps to remain in compliance.
  • Oversees the Company’s Product Withdrawal and Recall Program. Initiates and assists in the monitoring and resolution of product recalls and/or withdrawals to Operations team and or other sections / bodies as necessary.
  • Maintains knowledge of food safety, HACCP, current industry issues and new technology regarding food and packaging products.
  • Develops and maintains an effective working relationship with appropriate state, and local agencies and industry associations to be able to impact new or changing regulatory requirements and assist operations in complying with them.
  • Serves as a liaison with regulatory and industry officials to maintain knowledge of and compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Presents regulatory/legislative comments to proposed rules as necessary.
  • Actively engages with all processes and sections within the Group to be able to support the various process managers.
  • Oversees and directs the general & administrative budget for QA and Food Safety departments.
  • Develops, directs, trains, and appraises the Food Safety / QA team
The selected candidate/s will:
  • have as a minimum a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Biology, Engineering or related sciences;
  • possess strong leadership and team facilitation skills;
  • show initiative and creativity and being thorough and persevering;
  • be systematic, process-oriented, multi-tasking and familiar with problem solving techniques;
  • be ICT literate and have excellent presentation skills;
  • Knowledge on Food Safety Standard and HACCP will be considered as a plus.
