JobMatchingPartner is looking for a Risk & Compliance Lead to join a PSP serving clients across iGaming, eSports, eCommerce, and Lead Generation.The selected candidate will serve as the primary liaison for regulatory matters, working directly with authorities and obtaining MFSA approval (PQ status). This opportunity is ideal for a professional with solid experience in fintech or financial services who thrives in an independent role, while maintaining close collaboration with executive management and stakeholders.This hybrid role offers a salary of up to €80K.Role & ResponsibilitiesMaintain and improve compliance and risk frameworks per MFSA requirementsAct as main contact with MFSA and other entitiesStay updated on regulatory developments in Malta and the EUEnsure policies, procedures, and controls comply with AML/CFT, conduct, and other legislationManage regulatory reporting, submissions, and ongoing compliance obligationsMaintain enterprise-wide risk management framework: risk registers, KRIs, and control monitoringConduct risk assessments and develop risk metrics and reportingProvide structured reporting to senior management and the BoardMonitor, train, and report on financial crime risksSupport internal and external audits and advise management on regulatory, risk, and compliance mattersEducation, Skills & ExperienceUniversity degree in Law, Finance, Risk, Compliance, or related fieldObtaining MFSA PQ status is a requirementProfessional certifications (e.g., ICA, ACAMS, risk/compliance diplomas) are a plus5+ years in risk/compliance within financial services or fintech in Malta (EMI, payments, banking, or e-money preferred)Fluency in English both written and spokenProven experience with MFSA regulatory frameworks and supporting inspections/submissionsIndependent, senior-level experience; strong stakeholder management, commercial awareness, and high integrityKnowledge of EU directives, risk frameworks, and compliance controlsExperience within a regulated Maltese entity (EMI/PI/financial institution) is a plusAbout the RoleSalary of €65K–€80KHybrid based in SliemaWellness contributionPrivate health insuranceOpportunity to hold a key regulatory function within a growing fintechNote: This role is subject to successful MFSA PQ approval, and the chosen candidate must meet all fit and proper standards.Apply with your detailed CV.*JobMatchingPartner Limited is a recruitment agency licenced in Malta, EU with licence no EA00340-2024.
