- Lead a specialized segment of the Regulatory Team to effectively manage Live and RNG operations across assigned markets, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.
- Develop, maintain, and update the company's framework of policies, procedures, and guidelines to guarantee strict regulatory compliance.
- Design and track key Compliance and Regulatory project plans, including preparing and maintaining status updates, schedules, milestones, deliverables, and dependencies. Provide regular reports for senior leadership and relevant regulatory bodies as needed.
- Engage frequently with regulatory authorities to stay informed on the latest regulatory developments, ensuring all Evolution operations align with regulatory requirements.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for inquiries concerning the status of Regulatory Management procedures within designated European markets.
- Create and manage control systems that mitigate the risk of legal violations and internal policy breaches, ensuring swift resolution when issues arise.
- Regularly evaluate the effectiveness of compliance controls, revising procedures, reports, and systems to uncover potential risks or areas of non-conformity, and implement continuous improvements.
- Provide leadership and guidance to team members, ensuring they are supported in their performance and professional development. Conduct performance reviews and offer feedback, training, and advice on compliance matters when necessary.
- Stay up-to-date on emerging regulatory trends, best practices in compliance, and new regulatory frameworks both within and outside the company.
- Collaborate with internal teams (Legal, Due Diligence, Technical Compliance, Game Product Teams, Integrations, Engineering, Studios, Commercial Teams) and other relevant stakeholders to address regulatory compliance matters.
- Support various ad hoc duties and additional responsibilities as required by the role.
- Maintain and strengthen relationships with global regulators, identifying areas for potential improvement in compliance processes and ensuring proactive engagement with authorities.
- Assess regulatory risks across multiple markets, providing strategic insights and recommendations to mitigate potential impacts on business operations.
- Represent the company at regulatory forums, conferences, and meetings, actively contributing to shaping the regulatory environment for the iGaming industry.
- Develop training programs for internal stakeholders to enhance understanding of regulatory requirements and ensure company-wide adherence.
- Oversee the preparation and submission of regulatory filings, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in meeting all regulatory deadlines.
- At least 5 years of experience in a leadership role within a regulatory or compliance function.
- Over 8 years of experience in the iGaming industry with a strong understanding of online gaming legislation and regulatory standards.
- Proven track record of working closely with European regulators, building and maintaining strong relationships across multiple jurisdictions.
- Demonstrated experience in leading and nurturing high-performing, international, and remote teams.
- A degree in Law or a related field is required; additional certifications in compliance or regulatory affairs are a plus.
- Fluent in English (both written and spoken), with proficiency in additional languages considered an asset.
- Strong drive, enthusiasm, and initiative, with the ability to take ownership of responsibilities and meet goals.
- High level of responsibility and personal motivation, with a strong commitment to achieving results.
