Mykonos by Yiamas, a Greek casual dining restaurant in Malta, is seeking a Restaurant Manager to lead the team in providing exceptional service and an unforgettable dining experience. The Restaurant Manager will ensure the efficient operation of the restaurant, maintain high standards of production, productivity, quality, and customer service. The ideal candidate will have management skills and experience in both front and back of house.Key Responsibilities:Assisting with pre-opening and opening of the restaurantLeading team recruitment effortsCoordinating daily Front of House and Back of House restaurant operationsProviding on-the-job training to team members to ensure smooth-running operationCommunicating effectively with the team and delegating tasksDelivering superior service and maximising customer satisfactionOrganising and supervising shiftsRegularly reviewing product quality and ordering productsNurture and maintain relationship with suppliersEstimating future needs for goods, kitchen utensils, and cleaning productsControlling operational costs and identifying measures to reduce wasteEnsuring required stock is well maintained, including cutlery, glassware, and other equipmentEstablishing and maintaining standard operating procedures for all Front of House personnelManaging the restaurant's reputation and suggesting ways to improve itPresenting bills and accepting paymentsMonitoring and ensuring proper hygiene standards are adhered to by all food and beverage team membersMaintain cleanliness and own personal appearanceWork Schedule40 hours a week split as required by restaurant opening hoursAbility to work a flexible schedule including evenings/weekends/holidays as requiredExperienceMinimum experience of 2 years in similar managerial positionExperience within a fast-food Greek restaurant would be considered an assetKnowledge and Skills RequiredExpertise in authentic Greek cuisine is an advantageFluency in English is required, with Greek proficiency preferredProfessional communication skills, appearance, and behaviourAbility to work under pressure and solve problemsStrong interpersonal skillsEffective multitasking and prioritisation abilitiesExcellent communication and negotiation skillsEducation and TrainingDiploma in Food and Beverage Service Operation or related subject is considered an assetEuropean passport or working permission to work in Malta
