- Liaise with counterparts and provide both qualitative and quantitative feedback to identify potential model validation issues
- Actively participate in business-as-usual (BAU) and ad hoc model validation exercises carried out by the MVU, ensuring deadlines set in the MVU Work Plan are met. The Work Plan reflects the requirements of management, Bank committees, audit findings, and supervisory authorities.
- Respond to queries and requests within the remit of the MVU.
- Review validation reports and present them to relevant stakeholders and committees.
- Periodically review and maintain MVU documentation.
- Proactively engage with other units to obtain relevant information required for model validation activities.
- Work closely with validation stakeholders to understand and consider their requirements, address their feedback and recommendations, and ensure validation findings are clearly communicated and understood.
- Support other units in relation to validation report findings and ongoing BAU validation tests.
- Prepare, review, and present model validation reports to Board and Management committees.
- Stay up to date by following and learning from the work of other MVU team members.
- Deliver presentations and reports prepared by other team members when required.
- Develop and maintain knowledge of the Bank's different lines of business and related regulatory requirements.
- Keep up to date with applicable local and European risk-based regulations to effectively carry out model validation duties.
- Proven work experience of around 4 years in Risk or a regulatory environment related to risk management subject matters
- Highly assertive, responsible and with a can do attitude
- Ability work under pressure
- A degree in a risk related area of study, Statistics, Mathematics, Banking and Finance, Accounts or Economics
