Our client, a Group of Companies primarily active in the Retail sector, is seeking to recruit a Head of Finance to serve as the right-hand to the Group Chief Financial Officer and lead the Accounting team.Responsibilities include:Financial Aspect:

Leading and overseeing the preparation, review of monthly, quarterly, and annual management accounts for all companies within the Group
Handling financial analysis to support management decisions
Preparing financial presentations and reports for the Board of Directors, external stakeholders and Group CFO
Handling the cash flow management
Supporting in treasury related duties
Overseeing the submission of VAT returns and statutory tax obligations
Being the main point of contact for internal and external auditors

Strategic Planning:

Taking the lead for the annual budget process of the Group
Handling the development of forecasting and long term financial plans
Ensuring the implementation of financial policies, internal controls and audit recommendations are followed

Group & Intercompany Support:

Handling the consolidation of management accounts for the Group
Overseeing the intercompany reconciliations
Leading the accounting team
Collaborating with various departments within the group

Requirements

A minimum of 5 years of experience working locally in a similar role, within a Group of companies, holding a Managerial position
Strong experience in budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting
Excellent verbal and written English and Maltese

Education and Experience

Fully Qualified and Warranted Accountant
