- Designing strategy and setting goals for growth across all retail operation
- Controlling budgets and optimizing expenses
- Keeping abreast of shop-floor operations through shop visits and ensuring employees are motivated and productive
- Setting policies and processes
- Ensuring employees work productively and actively engage in their professional development
- Overseeing recruitment and training of new employees
- Evaluating and improving operations and financial performance
- Preparing regular reports for upper management
- Providing solutions to issues (e.g. profit decline, employee conflicts, loss of business to competitors)
- Maintaining communication with suppliers to improve business
- Overseeing all departments and make sure they are functioning well.
- Approving monthly payments
- Previous experience in retail management is required, affinity to the beauty industry is a plus.
- Solid knowledge of accounting processes, having an understanding of cashflows and P&L's
- Strong business Acumen
- A people's person with strong leadership skills
- Must be fluent in Maltese as well as have a professional level of English
- Hold a valid driving license
