- Support the Restaurant Manager in training, supervising, counselling and disciplining front-of-house staff.
- Oversee daily service operations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences and adherence to brand standards
- Ensuring that checklists, requisitions and proper opening and closing functions are being completed each shift.
- Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, to provide clear direction to the staff.
- Observe performance and encourage improvement where necessary.
- Arrange and conduct pre-shift and departmental meetings communicating pertinent information to the staff, such as house count and menu changes.
- Communicate with guests and employees using a positive and clear speaking voice, listen to and understand requests, respond with appropriate actions and provide accurate information.
- Give guidance toward improvement and make necessary adjustments for consistency.
- Maintain cleanliness of all outlets daily.
- Solicit feedback from guests concerning the service and food and beverage offerings in the restaurant.
- Work closely with the Restaurant Manager in monthly beverage inventory.
- Ensure all daily and monthly reports are detailed and submitted in a timely manner.
- Food handling certificate.
- Excellent communication skills, and proficiency in English language.
- 2 years of experience.
- Understanding of catering establishments.
- Ability to work on your own initiative.
- Ability to delegate and think under pressure.
- Experience with Microsoft Office programs.
