SASMAR is on the lookout for a proactive and strategic Accounts Assistant to join our innovative team. Headquartered in Malta, SASMAR is a prominent pharmaceutical company specializing in personal care and fertility products, particularly renowned for our Conceive Plus brand. With a presence in over 70 countries, we are dedicated to developing high-quality products sold through pharmacies, supermarkets, and clinics worldwide.The Accounts Assistant will support the finance department in maintaining accurate financial records, with a primary focus on sales and purchase ledgers, as well as assisting with stock control and audit processes. This role requires strong attention to detail, organisational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.RequirementsKey ResponsibilitiesSales & Purchase Ledger
  • Maintain and update sales and purchase ledgers accurately
  • Process supplier invoices, credit notes, and payments
  • Issue sales invoices and follow up on outstanding receivables
  • Reconcile supplier and customer accounts
  • Assist with resolving discrepancies and queries
Stock Control & Audits
  • Support stock control processes, including monitoring inventory movements
  • Assist with stock reconciliations and periodic stock counts
  • Participate in internal and external audit processes related to inventory and financial records
  • Investigate and report discrepancies between physical and system stock
Financial & Administrative Support
  • Assist in maintaining accurate financial records and documentation
  • Support month-end and year-end closing processes
  • Prepare basic financial reports and assist with data entry
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and company procedures
Coordination
  • Liaise with warehouse, procurement, and sales teams to ensure accurate financial and stock data
  • Support continuous improvement of accounting and stock control processes
  • Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 1–3 years of experience in a similar role
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles
  • Experience with accounting software and ERP systems is an advantage
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good organisational and communication skills
