Our client, an advisory company based in Malta is looking for a Sr Practitioner to join their team. This role is ideal for candidates who are looking to take a leadership role in a growing regulatory and fintech company.This is a Hybrid role and offers a salary of up to €50K depending on experience.Role & ResponsibilitiesProvide advice on legal and regulatory matters related to: MiCA, CASPs crypto-assets, stable coins, e-money tokens, digital wallets, tokenisation, and blockchain infrastructuresStructure and launch fintech projects within the EU regulatory frameworkAdvise on MFSA licensing, regulatory compliance, prudential requirements, outsourcing, governance, and ongoing supervision for EMIs, PSPs, and CASPs.Draft and review regulatory documentation, manuals, policies, and internal controls.Manage and be the primary contact for a varied portfolio of clients across fintech, crypto, and regulated financial servicesAttend conferences, regulatory consultations, and industry initiativesContribute to thought leadership through articles, seminars, webinars, and guidance notesEducation, Skills & ExperienceQualified lawyerPrevious experience as a senior practitioner within financial services and/or fintech in MaltaFluency in English at a C2/native level both written and spokenStrong knowledge of Maltese and EU financial services legislationGood understanding of MiCA, DORA, PSD2–PSD3, EMD, MiFID II, and related frameworksExperience engaging with regulatory bodies, notably the MFSA and FIAUAble to work independently and within a teamAnalytical with excellent problem-solving skillsConfident in meeting client personally and able to explain technical information in an affective mannerKeen interest in technological and financial innovationProactive with a client first mind setAbout the roleSalary of up to €50K depending on experienceHybrid with flexible hoursFree Health InsuranceMobile AllowanceStudy LeaveHealth and Wellness AllowanceOpportunities for career growthPlease note that we can only consider candidates with working experience in a similar senior role in Malta.Apply with your detailed CV.*JobMatchingPartner Limited is a recruitment agency licenced in Malta, EU with licence no EA00340-2024.
