You will join our dedicated kitchen team, supporting the Demi Chef de Partie and the Chef de Partie to ensure the smooth running of a station within our busy kitchen and facilitate the flawless delivery of our menus. Duties will range from food preparation and mise-en-place to mucking in during service and ensuring health and safety practices are adhered to. Flexibility and an eagerness to learn are key as you will be expected to support the wider kitchen team as and when required. You will thrive as part of a team, communicating with colleagues with confidence and sensitivity.Requirements and Qualifications:
- Certificate or Diploma in Food Preparation from a Catering Institute
- In the position of a Food Handling Certificate
- ITS students will also be considered for work placements
- Minimum 1-year work experience in a kitchen, preferably in a hotel
- Fluent in English
- A proactive approach to dealing with issues that may arise
- Highly organized, able to multitask and prioritize and work under pressure.
