To be responsible for the HSE in the company with a proactive, hands on approach aimed at fostering a safe and sustainable workplace.Conduct daily audits to ensure compliance with H&S policies and procedures. Be present during risk assessments and follow through the actions needed. Continuously review and develop existing health and safety policies and procured to meet higher standards. Support and participate in incident investigations, ensuring that thorough reports are compiled and necessary improvements are implemented. Conduct H&S committee meetings, fire drills and maintain an effective emergency preparedness team, Monitor compliance with requirements related to MSDS, Reach and process safety management. Organise H&S training sessions and ensure that all necessary staff certifications are current, Oversee certification process of lifting equipment and ensure all fire safety systems and equipment are serviced and maintained in line with legal obligations. Stay up to date on legal changes and ensure compliance. Implement and continuously improve environmental practices and procedures. Monitor and report on air emissions Oversee water usage and discharge monitoring, working to ensure compliance with water regulations and reduction in consumption and wastewater impacts. Ensure correct storage, labelling and handling of chemicals. Assist in identifying and assessing climate-related risks, contributing to climate adaptation and resilience planning. Develop and track progress against environmental targets such as energy, waste reduction, and carbon footprint minimisation. Co ordinate and support environmental impact assessments where applicable, including preparation of reports, follow up of mitigation measures and stakeholder engagement. Raise awareness within the team through training and communication on environmental best practices. Collaborate with relevant authorities and partners to ensure alignment with national environmental priorities and initiatives. Train all parties involved on site and make aware of safety rules and regulations and health protection
Install, connect and program: emergency and safety equipment (emergency lighting, fire safety, lockout systems...)
Carry out studies on: sustainable development (environment, social and CSR)
Define/adapt instructions and procedures concerning hygiene, safety, environment; transfer to departments
Advice employees/workers on accident/occupational disease risks. Inform re-preventive actions (safety equipment/work posture...)
Provide coverage for: occupational accidents
Evaluate occupational risks and recommend preventive actions (workplace layout, working conditions, management change...)
