Job DescriptionOur client is a Malta based corporate advisory firm offering accounting, corporate, and fiduciary services across a range of industries.For this role, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients, ensuring accurate financial records, handling tax and reporting obligations, and supporting the overall client relationship while maintaining compliance with local regulations.Location: Hybrid - Malta (2 days remote, 3 days from office after probation)Responsibilities:As a Client Accountant, your broad responsibilities will include but are not limited to:Managing a portfolio of clients and maintaining strong client relationshipsMaintaining accurate accounting records in line with IFRS or local standardsPreparing and submitting VAT returns, tax returns, and management accountsCoordinating audits and liaising with external auditorsManaging own workload, deadlines, and reporting timelinesSupporting ad hoc financial reporting and accounting tasksLiaising with Maltese authorities when requiredReviewing work of junior team membersSupporting onboarding of new clientsIdentifying improvements in processes and systemsIdentifying opportunities for additional servicesRequirements:ACCA qualified or equivalentMinimum 2 years experience in client accounting, ideally within a CSP environmentStrong knowledge of IFRS or equivalent accounting standardsGood understanding of Maltese VAT and tax legislationExperience preparing management accounts and supporting auditsStrong communication and organisational skillsAbility to work independently and within a teamHigh attention to detail and integrityStrong digital skillsExperience with Xero or similar systems is an advantageFluency in EnglishWhat’s in it for you?Our client offers an exciting, challenging role in a collaborative, dynamic environment.
