A reputable client of ours specialised within the Insurance sector is looking to onboard a Compliance Officer to join their team of professionals. The designated person will form part of the compliance team and will be reporting to the Head of Compliance:Duties:
  • Ensure that the responsibilities and tasks of the department are achieved effectively and in a timely manner
  • Assist in the ongoing development of the compliance culture within the Company
  • Assist in documenting the internal ongoing monitoring activity
  • Support with the implementation of the Yearly Compliance Plan as required
  • Assist with the updating of internal registers and record keeping obligations
  • Support the Data Protection Officer of the Company including investigating potential breaches and handling of Data Subject Requests
  • Review controls, procedures, and processes for regulatory compliance
  • Support Business Risk and Customer Risk Assessments
  • Participate in compliance projects, remediation, and process improvements
Requirements
  • Minimum 4 years' experience in compliance or risk within financial services
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Maltese
  • Be able to work on his/her own initiative within set deadlines
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Office applications
Education and Experience
  • Degree in Financial Services, Compliance, Risk, or related field preferred
