- Overseeing and leading settlement procedures in line with the Unit's settlement policy.
- Managing all court-related procedures within the enforcement process.
- Drafting, preparing and reviewing judicial acts and legal documentation for court proceedings.
- Representing the agency in settlements agreements and court sittings.
- Supervising, guiding and supporting the Settlements and Court Litigation team to meet targets.
- Liaising with external legal council.
- Ensuring coordination with other teams within the enforcement section.
- Conducting performance reviews and one-on-one meetings with team members.
- Evaluating operations and reporting progress to senior management.
- Attending internal management meetings and contributing to interviews.
- Collaborating with the agency's different units and agents to collect case-related information and assisting them in attending court sittings.
- Coordinating external legal fees and suggesting relevant training initiatives.
- Carrying out any other duties as directed by Management.
- LL.D or M.Adv. degree, or an equivalent legal qualification at MQF Level 7 or higher.
- Warrant or registration to practice law in Malta.
- At least 6 years of relevant work experience, with a minimum of 2 years in a senior role.
- Strong understanding or AML/CFT laws and international standards.
- Familiarity with EU Directives and local legislation relevant to financial, gaming and regulated sectors.
- Experience with AML/CFT enforcement processes is considered an asset.
