- Supervise and support back-office functions related to international payments processing, including settlements, confirmations, treasury operations, reconciliations, and payment investigations.
- Ensure all payment instructions are processed accurately, efficiently, and within established deadlines.
- Monitor daily operational workflows to ensure service level agreements and internal deadlines are consistently met.
- Ensure the timely settlement of all money movements processed through third-party banking systems.
- Assist the Payments Manager in the day-to-day management of the Payments Department.
- Allocate workloads effectively and ensure adequate coverage across operational functions.
- Ensure payment transactions executed via SWIFT or other payment networks are verified and authorised in line with internal controls and deadlines.
- Oversee the investigation and resolution of payment discrepancies, rejected payments, or settlement issues.
- Oversee the maintenance and validation of static data within payment systems, including account opening, account closures, and ongoing account maintenance.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate operational and financial risks associated with payment processes.
- Support the implementation of new regulatory requirements related to payments and financial transactions.
- Support the testing, implementation, and enhancement of banking systems and payment processing solutions.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with third-party banking partners and internal departments.
- Provide high-quality service and operational support to Accounting, Treasury, and Client Services teams.
- Participate in projects aimed at improving operational efficiency, automation, and service quality.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements, internal policies, and operational procedures.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, service levels, and operational controls.
- Stay adjourned and adhere to the latest AML/CFT policies and procedures.
- A relevant MQF level 4 or higher qualification in Banking, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years' experience in banking operations, payments processing, or financial services.
- Experience working with international payments, SWIFT messaging, or payment settlement systems will be considered an asset.
- Understanding of treasury operations, reconciliations, and payment investigations.
- Strong MS Excel and reporting skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
