A financial services group specializing in investments, payment, and fund administration globally is looking for a Payments & Reconciliation Specialist to join their team.This is an office-based role and offers a salary of up to €35K + KPI bonus.Role & ResponsibilitiesPerform daily reconciliation of client accounts, payment providers, and internal ledgersInvestigate and resolve reconciliation breaks promptly, escalating discrepanciesCollaborate with Finance, Payments, Product, and Tech teamsEnsure compliance with internal controls, safeguarding requirements, and regulatory obligationsSupport internal and external auditsPrepare month-end reconciliations and reports, highlighting trends, risks, and actionable insightsIdentify process inefficiencies, drive automation, and collaborate on scalable system improvements to reduce manual intervention and reconciliation breaksAct as a key contact for reconciliation queries and support resolution of customer-impacting payment issuesGuide junior team members, review outputs for accuracy, and contribute to defining KPIs, SLAs, and reconciliation standardsEducation, Skills & Experience4+ years of experience in reconciliation, payments operations, or finance in fintech, banking, or financial services in MaltaFluency in English both written and spokenProven experience in high-volume payments reconciliation across multiple systemsExperience with client money or safeguarding rules is a plusExcellent Excel skillsPrevious experience with ERP or finance systems and reconciliation toolsGood understanding of payment flows such as cards, SEPA, PSPs, and clearing/settlementKeen eye for detailAnalytical with a proactive and problem solving approachAbility to handle large volumes of transaction dataAbout this roleSalary of up to €35k + KPI-related bonusOffice basedHealth InsuranceGym allowanceInternal and external trainingExcellent professional development and career prospectsStudy leave and financial study supportApply with your detailed CV.*JobMatchingPartner Limited is a recruitment agency licenced in Malta, EU with licence no EA00340-2024.
