- Follows menus and recipes in preparing food items needed for the shift
- Prepares and presents all items in accordance with recipe specifications.
- Maintains safety and cleanliness of work area, including but not limited to refrigerators, freezers, ovens, shelves, worktables and sinks.
- Keeps himself/herself updated with new trends of food preparation.
- Judges quality of products in view of freshness and expiry dates.
- Informs appropriate supervisor in case of any shortages and quality problems.
- Verifies quality of food items issued and/or received from the stores and suppliers.
- Returns all items to proper storage areas after use.
- Monitors all equipment's functionality, including but not limited to refrigerators and freezers and reports any problem in solved.
- Seeks own solutions to the minor obstacles that occur from time to time.
