- Lead tax planning and implementation strategies to optimise clients' tax positions
- Advise clients on tax considerations across corporate restructuring, M&A, cross-border investments, and other transactions
- Manage ad-hoc tax advisory engagements for both local and international clients
- Oversee tax compliance, including preparation of corporate tax returns and refund applications
- Handle tax audits and liaise directly with tax authorities on behalf of clients
- Deliver technical training and provide ongoing support to accounting and audit teams
- Monitor local and international direct tax developments and assess their impact on clients
- Mentor junior team members, acting as their primary point of contact and reviewing their work
- Identify opportunities for team growth and propose improvements to systems and processes
- ACCA qualified or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years' post-qualification experience
- Strong command of Maltese tax legislation and accounting standards
- Bilingual fluency in English and Maltese (written and spoken); a third language is an advantage
