A well-established professional services firm based in Malta is seeking a Personal Tax & Accounting Manager to oversee a portfolio of private and self-employed clients. This is a client-facing leadership role combining technical expertise in accounting, VAT, and personal tax with team management and a strong focus on client satisfaction. The business is a full-service professional services firm serving local and international clients across accounting, corporate, tax, legal, advisory, and payroll. Operating for over 30 years, the firm holds licensed CSP status and works with start-ups, SMEs, and established businesses across a broad range of industries, delivering bespoke, client-focused solutions.MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Oversee accounting and VAT compliance for a portfolio of self-employed clients across varied industries
Manage income tax reporting obligations for a portfolio of private and self-employed individuals
Actively manage and develop client relationships, ensuring high levels of quality, efficiency, and satisfaction
Provide clients with financial insights and guidance to support informed decision-making
Lead and mentor junior team members, reviewing their work and supporting their professional development
Identify opportunities for portfolio and unit growth
Assess and propose improvements to internal systems and processes

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Fully qualified accountant (ACCA or equivalent)
Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role, preferably within a CSP practice
Solid technical knowledge across accounting, VAT, and personal tax compliance
Bilingual fluency in English and Maltese (written and spoken)
Proven leadership and team management capability
