Our client, a leading company within Malta’s automotive industry and importer of several well-known automotive brands, is seeking an IT Support Executive to join their team.The selected candidate will assist in the daily administration of the company’s IT systems and provide technical support to internal users on IT-related matters. This role involves managing support tools, maintaining IT infrastructure, and ensuring the smooth operation of technology systems across the organisation.Key Responsibilities
  • Provide 1st and 2nd line technical support to internal staff through the IT service helpdesk, phone, email, and in-person support.
  • Manage and monitor the IT ticketing system, including tracking and resolving support requests.
  • Liaise with third-party vendors and service providers when necessary.
  • Handle the onboarding and offboarding of computer users, including account setup and equipment allocation.
  • Monitor, set up, configure, and maintain ICT equipment such as PCs, laptops, printers, and mobile devices.
  • Identify, research, and resolve technical issues efficiently.
  • Manage and troubleshoot Microsoft 365 applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, and related tools.
  • Assist in maintaining and improving the company’s IT infrastructure alongside the IT team.
  • Support the maintenance and troubleshooting of the network infrastructure.
  • Perform configuration and installation tasks on Windows clients and servers.
  • Assist in the planning, design, documentation, and implementation of software modules and applications.
  • Become familiar with internal systems such as the Dealer Management System (DMS) to support users effectively.
  • Support users with hardware and software brand-specific systems and portals.
  • Maintain the 3CX telephone system in collaboration with the IT team and external suppliers.
  • Update and create IT support documentation and operational procedures.
  • Perform delegated IT operational duties related to infrastructure, productivity tools, and business systems.
  • Attend training locally or abroad when required.
  • Carry out additional duties assigned by management when necessary.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in software support, IT administration, or a similar role.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills in English and Maltese (both written and spoken).
  • Willingness to keep up to date with emerging technologies.
  • Valid driving licence.
