The successful candidate will maintain and support critical banking software systems, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with regulations. They will configure, deploy, and support these systems across various environments, while also contributing to IT projects and policy alignment with industry standards. If you feel you have the experience required, please send your CV for this Malta based IT System Specialist role.MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESMaintaining the core Banking system, ETL processes, databases, scripting tools, software updates and patchesEnsuring the highest level of systems and infrastructure availability and performance by maintaining and monitoring systemsPerforming installations, upgrades, configuration, maintenance, troubleshooting and resource optimization of the Bank's IT infrastructureRecognising and resolving issues impacting the Bank's IT operationsLiaising and escalating issues with third-party service providersMonitoring SLA to ensure adherence by supplier to obligationsMaintaining and testing the Bank's Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery plans for the Bank's infrastructureActively participating in the decision process for the introduction of new IT systems and other infrastructure-related projectsDeploying cybersecurity policies throughout the organisationManaging the Bank's IT infrastructure, including hardware, software applications, virtualised environments, back-up solutions, networking and security devices, end-user devices and cloud solutionsDriving IT operations best practicesMaintaining updated documentation related to the Bank's infrastructureCANDIDATE PROFILEBe hard working, responsible, organised and an autonomous IT infrastructure specialistHave a minimum of 3 to 5 years' experience in supporting and maintaining an IT infrastructure, preferably within the financial services industry in Malta, with experience on core banking systems, ETL, databases and scriptinPossess a bachelor's degree in IT or equivalentHave knowledge and experience of Cloud platforms and Cloud architecturesPossess excellent knowledge of Microsoft operating systems, services and products including Active Directory, Azure AD, Domain controllers and Microsoft 365Have strong knowledge of VMware/Hyper-V virtualisationPlace a strong emphasis on cybersecurityBe an excellent communicator, analytical and organisedPossess professional certifications.
