Summer Live-in Group Leader

• Act as the primary supervisor and guardian for assigned students throughout the program

• Ensure students’ safety, wellbeing, and adherence to program rules always

• Be available 24/7 as the main point of contact for student needs, concerns, and emergencies

• Manage attendance, curfews, room checks, and daily routines

• Handle minor issues and escalate serious matters according to program procedures

• Accompany students to scheduled activities, excursions, and events

• Organize and lead games, competitions, and social activities

• Encourage student participation and positive group dynamics

• Support cultural exchange and create a welcoming, inclusive environment

• Communicate effectively with program coordinators and on-site staff

• Maintain daily reports, attendance lists, and incident records as required

• Liaise with hotel staff, activity providers, and transport services

• Communicate clearly and professionally with students, staff, and external contacts

• Respond calmly and effectively to emergencies, including medical situations

• Ensure students follow health and safety guidelines during all activities and excursions

• Accompany students to medical appointments if required

• Always follow safeguarding and child protection policies

• Experience working with children or teenagers (camp counselor, teacher, youth leader, etc.)

• Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

• Ability to manage groups and enforce rules in a fair and supportive manner

• Confident, responsible, and adaptable in a residential setting

• Fluent in English; additional languages are an advantage

• Ability to commit to the full 2–6-week program period

• Live in a hotel with students for the duration of the program

• Valid police conduct / background check (or willingness to obtain one)

• Legally able to work in Malta with a Maltese or EU passport

• Residential, live-in role based in a hotel in St. Paul’s Bay

• Includes evenings, weekends, and on-call responsibilities
