- Contribute to the development and execution of strategic PR and communications campaigns, aligned with organisational priorities and goals
- Provide input and foresight on reputational risk, emerging trends, and opportunities, supporting the long-term communication positioning
- Be a key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders
- Create and write engaging, high-quality content for internal communications, including staff interviews, newsletters, and organisational updates
- Identify opportunities and draft compelling and clear content for public awareness campaigns and external press releases effectively to the public and media
- Handle incoming media queries and requests from journalists, ensuring timely, accurate, and consistent responses
- Coordinate internally with relevant departments to gather input and approvals, and act as a key point of contact for media engagement
- Plan, write and schedule social media content across all channels, ensuring tone and visuals are appropriate to the target audience and platform
- Coordinate the production of multimedia content, such as videos and podcasts, in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
- Create visually appealing content using tools like Canva, for use on social media, events, and digital campaigns.
- Identify and shape opportunities for engagement by collaborating with key internal stakeholders, ensuring alignment with the organisation’s communications objectives.
- Maintain and update the organisation’s website content, ensuring timely uploads, user relevance and SEO optimisation
- Support the design and delivery of interim and annual reports, speeches, presentations and other external-facing materials
- Monitor media coverage (print, digital and broadcast) for reputational relevance and intelligence-gathering, escalating issues as required
- Assist in the coordination and representation at national and international events and manage associated communications and logistics
- Liaise with and manage relationships with external PR and marketing service providers, coordinating campaigns and ensuring delivery in line with expectations
- Support and mentor junior team members, providing guidance, reviewing content, and promoting a high standard of communications output
- Take initiative to identify improvements in communication workflows, tools, and campaign planning
- Carry out any other communications-related duties as instructed by the PR and Communications Manager
- Holder of a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Communications, Public Relations, English, Journalism, or a related field
- Proven experience in a similar communications or PR role is required
- Outstanding writing and editing skills, with attention to tone, clarity, grammar, and messaging consistency in both English and Maltese
- Strong stakeholder management capabilities with the ability to build productive relationships across the organisation and externally
- Demonstrated ability to work strategically and tactically, balancing content creation with high level planning and campaign oversight
- Proficient in digital content tools and platforms including WordPress, Mailchimp, and Canva.
- Strong familiarity with social media management, media monitoring and content scheduling tools
- Excellent organisational and project management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines
- Knowledge of or experience in the gaming industry and familiarity with its regulatory and reputational landscape will be considered an asset
- Capable of working both independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced and dynamic environment
