This positions reports to the Technician [Machine Room] and is primarily responsible for the design and manufacturing of the products.Key Responsibilities: 1. To follow direction from Technician [Machine Room] on any assigned tasks related to Manufacturing of tooling as well as Designs required for Production. 2. To acquire knowledge of new products and their parts in order to ensure the latest released design/parts documents are readily available for the supply chain and manufacturing requirements 3. To be involved in the design of manufacturing plant Jigs & other mechanical equipment as well as being able to manufacture the required equipment and parts from the right materials using the correct processes safely 4. To provide technical know-how and experience in the use of CAD and other design/drawing software necessary, create new Design documents, maintain any updates necessary including and not limited to those for manufacturing and R&D. 5. To work closely with R&D and be involved in the new product designs and related parts. 6. To assist and liaise with the Technician primarily handling Documentation by following any design related work, including aids to upkeep the distribution and replacement of latest documents in the assigned manufacturing plant locations. 7. To liaise with the Production Manager & Technical Operators on the production and manufacturing design documents as well as parts and update following agreed document reviews. 8. To pass on knowledge to employees on production/manufacturing design documents and their ongoing updates, as well as give on the job training to any employees when necessary and communicate with colleagues so as to improve the overall performance of Production. 9. To check regularly all equipment and/or machinery and ensures good working order condition. 10. To report to the Technician [Machine Room] any deviations from policies and procedures. To report any fault or damage immediately and take an active role in rectification of such faults. 11. Adjust tools for positioning, fixing and clamping pieces
Adjust tools, machines and equipment to production type
Perform production and processing actions with: CNC operated machines
Check functioning of equipment and conformity of hydraulic/pneumatic circuits Decide on technical repair solutions
Analyse technical problems and customer needs
Determine technical solutions for improvement of equipment/installations (quality, suitability, cycles, safety...)
Detect a malfunction in the installation and decide on technical solutions and terms of repair
