A client of ours in the Banking sector is looking to recruit a Regulatory Reporting Officer to join their growing finance team. The candidate will play a significant role in statutory reporting while driving automation and compliance.Responsibilities:
  • Liquidity & COREP statutory reporting.
  • Preparing the Weekly Liquidity Reporting
  • Preparing the Balance of Payment Statistics.
  • Downloading the daily Additional Monitoring Matrix reports.
  • Producing the daily loan to deposit ratio for the Bank's senior management.
  • Testing of new IT systems and updates to reflect the changes in regulations and returns.
  • Forming part of the project team to implement the new system to automate Regulatory reporting.
  • Keeping abreast with European Banking regulations, interpreting and applying them.
  • Liaising with IT staff regarding staff data requirements for statutory reporting.
  • Meeting tight deadlines for the Statutory Reporting through the submission of reporting deadlines
  • Together with the Statutory Reporting Manager, represents the Bank on the Technical Committee of the MFSA as required from time to time
  • Other ad hoc reporting
Requirements
  • Proficiency in Excel
  • Previous local experience in finance/regulatory environment
  • Analytical with attention to detail
  • Fluent in written and spoken Maltese and English
Education and Experience
  • Ideally holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Economics, Banking, Finance or related qualification
