You will have the opportunity to contribute meaningfully, develop your skills, and grow within a fast and forward-thinking environment.Role PurposeThe Credit Controller is responsible for the daily management of credit extended to business customers, with a key focus on collecting overdue payments and minimising the risk of bad debt. Reporting to the Credit Control Manager, the successful candidate will be expected to meet defined collection targets and support the company's financial goals. This role offers excellent opportunities for professional development within the credit control function and beyond.Key ResponsibilitiesManage collection processes and send dunning reminders in a timely manner.Resolve internal queries and follow up on outstanding customer payments.Carry out regular and structured chasing of overdue accounts.Liaise effectively with both internal teams and external customers.Negotiate payment terms and reach agreements with business customers.Prepare daily payment coding for cashiering purposes.Reconcile incoming payments against outstanding invoices.Maintain accurate and up-to-date records for audit, legal, and reporting purposes.Skills, Experience & QualificationsMinimum of an 'O' Level standard of education, including passes in English, Mathematics, and Maltese; a customer service-related course would be considered as an asset.Basic understanding of financial principles and processes.Fluency in both Maltese and English, with strong verbal and written communication skills in both languages.Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Outlook, Excel, and Word.Strong organisational and interpersonal skills.Ability to work effectively in a team environment and under pressure to meet tight deadlines.Capable of handling diverse customer interactions professionally and confidently.Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
