Valletta Credit Finance Corporation Ltd is a licensed entity by the Malta Financial Services Authority as a Financial Institution and offers its clients payments related services and is a principal member of VISA and Mastercard.We are on the lookout for a Transaction Monitoring and Payments Analyst who will form part of the AML team whose main duty is to safeguard the organisation by analysing customer activity, investigating alerts, and ensuring all AML and payment‑related controls are applied effectively.Key Responsibilities:Analysis of accounts and customer information according to prescribed internal control policies and procedures.Daily analysis of the Transaction Monitoring Alerts;Communication with Insignia officers and other employees involved in the maintenance of internal control standardsProvide AML advisory support to internal stakeholders where required;Scrutinising payment flows;Processing of priority requests from local authoritiesEnsure that filings are completed accurately, timely and meeting regulatory requirementUnderstands and stays current on the Red Flags and industry trends related to AMLBuild and maintain positive and productive working relationships internally and externallyAbility to work effectively on a team and with business partners and colleagues throughout the CompanyTalent Profile:Relevant AML or compliance certifications (e.g., ICA, ACAMS) are considered an asset.Proven experience in transaction monitoring, AML, payments, or a similar compliance‑related role.A background in a financial institution, payments company, fintech, or regulated environment is preferred.Strong analytical and investigative skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and identify unusual patterns.Solid understanding of AML principles, red flags, and industry trends.Excellent written and verbal communication skillsSound judgement and the ability to escalate issues appropriately.Proficiency with transaction monitoring systems and general MS Office tools.
